TEST DESCRIPTION
Warfarin complications and side effects can include severe bleeding. The genetic variations in VKORC1 and cytochrome P450 CYP2C9 genes have been shown to contribute to inter-individual variability in responses to warfarin. These genetic markers serve as clinically relevant predictors of warfarin dosing. The GP03 Warfarin genotyping kit is a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) genotyping kit designed for identification of CYP2C9*2 (C430T), CYP2C9*3 (A1075C) and VKORC1 (-1639 G>A).
