Sales representative TrimGen Corporation is a young biotech company that focuses on the development of sensitive and accurate tests for the detection of genetic mutations found in the early stages of cancer, and for the detection of polymorphisms for pharmacogenetic applications.
We are seeking a business development minded sales professional with 1 or more years experience in outside sales, preferably in biotech or medical diagnostic laboratories sales.
The Sales Representative will responsible for selling diagnostic reagents and kits by developing a territorial sales plan, making sales calls, attending trade and vendor shows, establishing close relationships with customers as well as working closely with the Marketing Team.
Position Summary:
Responsible for U.S. sales and assisting with U.S. marketing activities.
Develop, implement and maintain a strategic plan and schedule for generating and structuring sales territories.
Assist with the development and implementation of marketing strategies.
Establish and maintain a strong competitive position through tactical and strategic regional marketing opportunities.
Assist with product launches and marketing campaigns.
Generate contracts, forecasts, and reports in a timely manner.
Travel currently is limited to several times a year within the U.S., but is subject to change as new markets are developed. The appropriate candidate must able to travel, as the position requires.
This position is based in the Baltimore area with the sales office at TrimGen Corporation in Sparks, MD. The current sales territory includes the surrounding areas of VA, DC, PA, and DE, but may not be limited to this area, as the position requires.
No relocation assistance is offered.
