| PRODUCT DESCRIPTION |
The assay is available on 3 different platforms:
1. Real-time PCR assay
The real-time assay uses FAM fluorescent probes to detect the V600E mutation and can be applied to any type of real-time PCR instrument.
2. Colorimetric assay (microplate)
The colorimetric assay is similar to an ELISA assay and is performed in a microplate format. Detection is interpreted using an ELISA reader and does not require any special instrumentation.
3. Fragment analysis (sequencer)
The sequencer based assay results are easily analyzed. The mutations can be clearly differentiated by fluorecent color and fragment size.
Assays 2 & 3 use TrimGen's proprietary Shifted Termination Assay (STA) technology to accurately detect the mutations. STA technology can enrich mutation signals 20-fold and is able to detect as low as 1% of mutations. |
